Hooker Falls is a popular waterfall and swimming hole in DuPont State Forest just a 0.3 mile walk from the Hooker Falls parking lot on Staton Rd.

Although the waterfall is not high (only about 12-14 feet), the waterfall is wide and empties into a large, calm pool with plenty of rocks for sitting, relaxing, and swimming.

After leaving the parking lot, follow the signs toward Hooker Falls (don’t cross the bridge). The trail follows Little River, then climbs a bit to an overlook of the falls. Continue on the trail and it will wind down to the pool below the falls.

There are restrooms in the parking lot, and usually some portable toilets above the falls just off the trail.

Climbing on the waterfall is not allowed. Swim carefully here, as even though the water looks safe and calm, drownings have occurred.
